FORMER TEACHER - Eating & Drinking in Zlate


Many of the bars in Zlate do not serve food and allow smoking. Some, like Arizona Club have slot machine gambling and remain open 24/7. You will see the word ‘nonstop’ on the sign if the bar is 24/7.

If a restaurant serves food it must be non-smoking. Some restaurants have a partitioned smoking room.

Pizzaria Zupan and PizzaTime are good places for food. Do not go to Panda Bistro.
Oregon Pub isn't fantastic but give it a try. 
Hoffera is an option if you want to try Slovakian food. The regular menu is in English.  

Hostinec u Mnicha and Industrial Music Bar U Slepého are two good smoke-free places for beer.

A half liter of beer (pivo) will cost between 1 Euro and 2 Euro depending on the brand.

FORMER TEACHER - Leaving Early in June

For the past two years Peter has offered to have the native speakers leave before the end of June. The school is open until the last Thursday in June. This year the last day of school is Thursday, June 27th. Peter may want you to stay through the end of June next year. In 2019 he asked all three native speakers if they would like to skip the last two weeks. There's nothing wrong with departing early but you need to be aware of the possibility so that you can plan. Consider this when making your flight arrangements for the end of June.  Remember than if you leave early and opt to travel you will only be paid a half month's salary for June.  https://www.facebook.com/jskramar/
