FORMER TEACHER - Contact with Students


It is the official policy of the school that teachers will not have social contact with students under the age of 18 outside of the classroom. This includes in-person contact and electronic/social media contact. You certainly may see students at the supermarket or elsewhere around town. You should say hello and be friendly but do not make plans for extended social visits. 

You may find adult students who want to meet for a coffee or beer and practice English. If this comes up, make sure that Peter is aware of it. Even if you are off the clock you are still representing the school and your conduct can impact the school’s reputation. Under no circumstances should you have a romantic relationship with a student. You will be given a @jazykovaskolakramar.com email address. All communication with students should be done using this address.


NOTE: Several adult students are members of the Zlate Moravce English Club Facebook group. This is an obvious exception to the guidelines stated above but it is a group rather than one-on-one contact.

FORMER TEACHER - Leaving Early in June

For the past two years Peter has offered to have the native speakers leave before the end of June. The school is open until the last Thursday in June. This year the last day of school is Thursday, June 27th. Peter may want you to stay through the end of June next year. In 2019 he asked all three native speakers if they would like to skip the last two weeks. There's nothing wrong with departing early but you need to be aware of the possibility so that you can plan. Consider this when making your flight arrangements for the end of June.  Remember than if you leave early and opt to travel you will only be paid a half month's salary for June.  https://www.facebook.com/jskramar/
