The Patio Hostel is a pretty good place
to stay. It’s close to everything a foreigner would want to access in
Bratislava. You can get a shared bunk room for €12-14 per
night.
· When you book using Hostel World they will charge the
room to your credit card.
· When you arrive you will pay €1.70 city hotel tax in cash.
· You must leave a €10 note as your key deposit. It’s handed back to you
at check out.
· You must bring your passport for the check-in process.
· They give you a wrist band to show as you re-enter the building.
· Patio Hostel gives you a card good for one small (.3 liter) beer at
their bar when you check in.
Hostel rates increase during the summer
travel season. In May and June the prices will be closer to 18-20€. You can make reservations well in advance on booking.com and cancel
without penalty to lock in a better rate.
Also, if Patio Hostel is full the Brickyard Hostel is a good
alternative. It’s further from the bus terminal but the rooms are clean and the
staff is friendly.
