FORMER TEACHER - Lesson Plans & Teaching Principles

The school has two fundamental teaching principles.
I – Always correct speaking errors
II – Insist that your students speak in full sentences

The school follows the Cambridge English curriculum. Each student has a textbook. The chapters typically have 7-9 pages in them. Each lesson should cover 1.5 – 2 of the pages in the chapter. You don’t have enough time to cover everything.

We do not require formal written lesson planning. Remember, real teaching begins when your lesson plan fails. It is good to improvise and change your lessons according to what is working with your particular class each day.

The classrooms are equipped with white boards, a teacher computer, and a large screen. You can use Google images and YouTube videos to stimulate conversation.

FORMER TEACHER - How Can I Help You?

Hello, My name is Jim. I was a teacher at the Kramar school from February - May 2019. During my time in Zlate Moravce I documented many things that I believe will help future teachers. I started this blog so that I can share this information. This blog is completely independent of the Kramar school. The information here was accurate when I was in Zlate Moravce. Some of the details may have changed but this information should still help you ask the right questions. If you are heading to  Jazykova Skola Kramar or another school in  Zlate Moravce, please feel free to contact me - especially if the school has told you not to contact me. My direct email is jleonard518@gmail.com. We can also arrange a WhatsApp call. Good Luck, Jim https://www.facebook.com/jskramar/

FORMER TEACHER - Leaving Early in June

For the past two years Peter has offered to have the native speakers leave before the end of June. The school is open until the last Thursday in June. This year the last day of school is Thursday, June 27th. Peter may want you to stay through the end of June next year. In 2019 he asked all three native speakers if they would like to skip the last two weeks. There's nothing wrong with departing early but you need to be aware of the possibility so that you can plan. Consider this when making your flight arrangements for the end of June.  Remember than if you leave early and opt to travel you will only be paid a half month's salary for June.  https://www.facebook.com/jskramar/
