The washing machine is in the upstairs
toilet. By American standards the load capacity is rather small.
· Put the far right knob on E for Economy (approximately
the 5 o’clock position).
· Put the other knob on 50C (also approximately the 5
o’clock position).
· Press the far left button of the three buttons.
· The washer takes about an hour to run through a cycle.
The dryer is downstairs in the hallway
just off the kitchen. It does not vent through an external wall. Instead, water
collects in a condensation.
· Before you put in a load, empty the condensation tray
and clean the lint collector.
· Set the dial to either Jeans or Denni (approximately
the 10 o’clock position).
· The power button and start button on the right are
labeled in English.
· The dryer takes at least two hours to run through a
cycle.
Some teachers were told to pay one euro for every load of laundry they did. No one every officially told me about this so I never paid it. Hopefully for future teachers this is just included in the rent.
