FORMER TEACHER - Pay Day & Salary


The last day of each calendar month is pay day. Peter will pay you in cash. The salary is based on the number of classes you teach but it is averaged out so that you are paid for national holidays. The school pays your Slovakian income taxes so you are headed the full amount of your monthly wage in cash.

Examples:
·       If you teach 27 classes a week then at €8.50 per class times four weeks that is €918 / month.
·       If you teach 30 classes a week then at €8.50 per class times four weeks that is €1,020 / month.

You can use the Tatra Bank phone app to send money to your account back home using your IBAN number. This may change as the Tatra Bank branch in Zlate Moravce closed at the end of May 2019.

FORMER TEACHER - Leaving Early in June

For the past two years Peter has offered to have the native speakers leave before the end of June. The school is open until the last Thursday in June. This year the last day of school is Thursday, June 27th. Peter may want you to stay through the end of June next year. In 2019 he asked all three native speakers if they would like to skip the last two weeks. There's nothing wrong with departing early but you need to be aware of the possibility so that you can plan. Consider this when making your flight arrangements for the end of June.  Remember than if you leave early and opt to travel you will only be paid a half month's salary for June.  https://www.facebook.com/jskramar/
